How Does A College Student Living In Chicago Suburbs Find Work?
What kind of work can a college student living in the suburbs of Chciago find that pays better than minimum wage and is not a "big corporation"? I need work that will allow me to eat & pay rent without the hassles of corporate bureaucracy. I do not want ot work for a corporation such as Walmart, FedEx, Car Dealerships... I WANT OT WORK SOMEWHERE FREE OF CORPORATE BUREUACRACY

- Prostitution?
- 7-11 will work around you schedule.
- Have you even thought of trying any employment agencies, how about a head hunter? Worse comes to worse I had a friend that did Kelly work in Chicago for years.
- It really depends on how much time you can work and the hours. You can try temp agencies if you have experience doing office work, you can get about $10-$14 per hour. You may also try waiting tables (just find a classy place) or bartending if you know how to make drinks and are over 21 (this can be really good money plus you can work nights and weekends.)
- Where do you eat? They're hiring. Where do you shop? They're hiring too.
- try to find a company who has connections with either your friends, family members or relatives. Through them, they might haggle with the boss for a bigger pay for you.
