What's the best way to apply for jobs in Chicago from England?
Hi, Im moving to Chicago later this year, beginning of next year the latest. I just wanted to know what the best way is to apply for jobs from outside the US? Should i sign with agencies? Are there specific agencies that help people that are relocating to Chicago from outside the US? Any advice would be really appreciated.

- Definitely contact some agencies, and also try online job sites. I'm from London, and I moved to the US in April. I applied for over 60 jobs before I finally landed one, and that one I got through an agency.
- You can check job agencies, job websites like Monster.com, Careerbuilder.com, etc. but FIRST get your work permit in order if you haven't done so already. It can be a time-consuming process and unless you plan on making all of your money under the table, get that paperwork in order first. It can be a depressing thing to get ready for that first day on the job, then get called to the Human Resource department and be told you can't start because you don't have a work permit.

- Agencies. That is what I am telling my friend who is moving here too. They will get you in.
